WEST MARK ONE BUILDING ASSESSMENT
Mechanical, electrical and plumbing system assessment of a 240,000 SF, five story building originally constructed in 1974. Mechanical systems included in the assessment were heat recovery chillers, cooling towers, boilers, pumps, built-up dual duct air handling units, dehumidifier spray coils, energy recovery wheels and drycooler computer room cooling systems. The project scope included building assessment in conjunction with a contractor that provided budget pricing for our recommendations. This allowed for return on investment calculations for recommended energy conservation measures. Electrical systems included in the assessment were rotary UPS units, paralleling switchboards, emergency generators, lighting and fire alarm. A lightning risk assessment, per NFPA 780, was also performed to calculate whether or not the building was at risk of damage due to lightning.
